Four people died in a horrific road accident in Rohtas. The condition of 26 people is critical. The injured are undergoing treatment. The incident took place near Gaighat under Chenari police station. On Wednesday morning, 30 people in a pickup van were going on pilgrimage to Gupta Dham. All people are relatives among themselves. Gupta was going to Dham to perform the Mundan ceremony of the child. Due to overloading, the pickup went out of control near Gaighat and overturned and fell into a ditch 140 feet below. The accident was so horrific that four people died on the spot. The condition of 26 people is critical. There was panic in the area after the incident. There was a crowd of people nearby. Here, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Sasaram SDM has confirmed the death of four people.
Everyone was going to Gupta Dham from Bhojpur.
Forest Department Ranger Abhay Kumar said that a group of 30 people had arrived from Vishwapura village of Shahpur police station area of Bhojpur district on Tuesday evening to visit Gupta Dham. He was stopped as it was evening. After 6:00 am on Wednesday morning, he was sent for Gupta Dham darshan. After the accident, the pickup van fell into a ditch about 140 feet deep. It is coming to light that four people have died. The injured include 04-year-old Pawan Gaur, son of Ritesh Gaur, resident of Vishwapura village of Shahpur police station area of Bhojpur district, Kanchan Devi, wife of Vijay Kumar, Ranjan Kumar, son of Santosh Gaur and Daroga Gaur, son of Ramdev Gaur. Others are being identified.
